Healthy Activities and Food Programme
The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme, also known as Healthy Holidays in some areas, provides free holiday clubs and healthy meals for children who receive benefits-related free school meals during the school holidays. It's designed to support families who might find the school holidays challenging by offering enriching activities and nutritious food. The programme typically runs during the Easter, summer, and Christmas holidays.
HAF clubs at Barnsley are across all school holidays, based on demand. The club takes place at NovaCity Barnsley site.
NovaCity Rotherham operates clubs with multiple partner primary schools and at our Rotherham base.

HAF HOLIDAY CLUBS ARE BACK AT NOVACITY BARNSLEY!
After a few seasons away, we are thrilled to be able to offer fully funded places on our Holiday Club.
The club takes place at our Barnsley building
Time - 10 am - 2 pm
Attendees will take part in all the activities NovaCity has to offer, including Parkour, Dance, Tricks and flips, and Trampolines.
Food is provided
Eligibility Criteria:

Children and young people in families receiving Universal Credit,

Annual household income under £7,400 (£616.67/month).
Booking will be on the Eequ system

NOVACITY ROTHERHAM
ADVENTURE, FOOD, AND FUN PROGRAMME
A new opportunity to engage in healthy holiday activity has arrived in NovaCity Rotherham.
The aim of the Autumn Adventures: Free Activities, Food & Fun is to create additional experiences that have a positive impact on children and young people and provide easily accessible enrichment activities.
RMBC has committed further funding to enable the Autumn Adventures: Free Activities, Food & Fun to be delivered over the October half-term holiday. It offers an inclusive, non-judgemental environment that reduces stigma and introduces new healthy foods children can enjoy with their peers, helping them build a healthy relationship with food.
To be eligible for a free place funded through the additional Council investment, children and young people should:

Be resident in Rotherham.

Be of statutory school age (Reception to Year 11).

Be assessed as benefiting from additional support to access holiday activities and enrichment opportunities. (HAF codes)
Meet one or more of the following criteria:

Families living in a low-income household and experiencing multiple vulnerabilities or financial hardship.

Be known to Early Help, Family Help, Youth Services, Social Care or another support service.
-
Have additional needs or disabilities (including those awaiting assessment or diagnosis).
-
Be at risk of social isolation or reduced participation in community activities.
-
Be identified by their school or a professional as likely to benefit from holiday provision.
