BOPPAA & AGE UK - Over 50's Parkour
For the first time ever NovaCity is running a pilot programme in Barnsley, specifically for over 50's adults.
We believe Parkour can enhance your life at any age and this 12-week programme of activity aims to demonstrate this.
Universal Youth Work 2023
Delivered in partnership with Rotherham Borough Council Universal Youth Work Programme.
The project will deliver taster sessions in all NovaCity activities taking place in our Rotherham venue over the next 6 months as a way to engage young people in new activities in the community.
Healthy Activities and Food Programme
Established by the government this programme takes place during selected school holidays and provides spaces on our holiday clubs and sessions for qualifying young people at no cost to families. We have been a successful partner organisation since 2022.
Universal Youth Work 2022
This fund enabled NovaCity to offer a 6-month programme of subsidised activity on Friday evenings at our Rotherham venue as a way of tackling the cost of living crisis and ensuring activities and safe spaces were available during the winter months. The programme was an incredible success with over 1000 session places being used.
Sport England & This Girl Can 2021
This programme focused on encouraging more women and girls to experience the positive benefits of Parkour. Girls-only sessions were established at our Rotherham venue, and taught by female coaches. The programme was a success with Girls Parkour sessions a regular and well attended fixture on our timetable.
