Notice to all customers – Corona Virus (COVID-19)- Update 9th July 2020

Following the Government announcement on July 9th 2020, we have now been given the permission to reopen.

The date for reopening is Saturday, July 25th 2020. Along with the announcement new guidelines have been published. These can be found in full by following the link below. These guidelines form the basis of our reopening policy and all procedures going forward.

We cannot wait to see you again but we cannot just throw open our doors. There will be legally enforceable restrictions and guidance. We feel we have done all we can to limit the risk of transmission and make our premises COVID secure, but we need your help. You must follow the rules we set out.

The rules are very simple and easy to understand and won't impact on your experience very much at all.

These are listed below.

Thank you.

  • Due to social distancing measures, customer numbers in the buildings will need to monitored and restricted.

  • These restrictions will transfer to each individual activity. Limited spaces will be available to book in advance.

  • A new online booking system will be available prior to reopening. This will require a new registration and waiver system. We require everyone to fill in this new form before attending for the first time post lockdown. This is available now. Please sign up as soon as possible so that so can book as soon as classes go online. Instructions can be found on the BOOKING page.

  • We will not be accepting bookings or cash at reception. The reception will also be adapted with screens to protect staff and queuing areas will be installed. Parents will be asked to drop of children whilst maintaining social distancing requirements. The timetable will allow parents and carers of younger children to stay with them as usual. You will be asked for your confirmation and be registered as attending the building.

  • We will be keeping records of who enters the building, to aid, if necessary, with the contact tracing should a local outbreak take place. By registering an account and entering the building to give us permission to do this.

  • The COVID Secure guidance for workplaces will be put in place to ensure the safety of our staff and the customers. See Below

  • Face coverings may be worn where it is safe to do so. This will not be compulsory. NovaCity Ltd will NOT be providing these. How you choose to protect yourselves will be up to you, but we will require any measure you bring yourself to be safe for you and everyone else.

  • Hand sanitation products to be used on the entrance to the building. NovaCity will provide this. 70% Alcohol Sanitiser will be provided. Hand soap will also be available in all bathrooms and regular hand washing will be encouraged using the CATCH IT, KILL IT, BIN IT protocol.

  • Increased cleaning before each class will be in place to disinfect any equipment.

  • There may be staggered start times or social distancing queue measures for classes, to minimise congregation in reception areas and to ensure cleaning schedule can be met.

  • Potential for different entrances and exits to minimise any congestion at reception. This will be clearly marked.

  • Reduced or removed café operations. We will still aim to provide a minimal shop menu for water, other beverages and snacks for customers. Again, we would like to avoid cash where possible.

This advice may change at any time going forwards and be enforced and influenced by local authorities or the central government advice.

We will continue to provide you updates so we can all be in the best position to open and remain open safely. To ensure you get the updates promptly please subscribe to the email alerts on our website. This can be found on the landing page. Once registered to the booking systems you will also receive notifications if you allow them to be received (please do this). If you have any questions, please get in touch via email, the website or on social media. Please do not call the buildings.
